Local Leaders Support LaShe Rodriguez for Placentia-Yorba Linda School Board

Anaheim, Calif. – LaShe Rodriguez, candidate for Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School Board in 2020, released another round of endorsements from local Democratic leaders and labor officials. ”I am proud to receive an immense amount of local support in my efforts to ensure that every student receives a quality education which prepares them for a future career. “said Rodriguez in her statement.

Among the latest endorsements are Congressman Lou Correa, Congressman Pete Aguilar, Fmr. Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez, as well as Orange County Supervisor Doug Chaffee and Anaheim Union High School District Trustee Al Jabbar. Trustee Jabbar said that “As a school board trustee, I understand the importance of ensuring that children receive a holistic education that is reflective of their identity and culture, and provides opportunity for student success. LaShe has proven that she has the character and commitment to carry this calling.” In addition to the elected leaders supporting LaShe, she also announced a list of endorsements from activists, grassroots organizers, and local Democratic leaders who have signed onto her campaign.

Senate Education Committee Chairwoman Connie Leyva said that “ LaShe has proven her commitment to serving our community time and time again. Just as she has in her career, she will lead the PYLUSD with integrity and respect for all. I’m proud to endorse LaShe Rodriguez for School Board.”

LaShe has pledged to improve mental health services in schools, ensure accountability from district and school officials, and apply her experience in serving disadvantaged populations to ensure that students are prepared to join a competitive new economy.

Ada Briceño, UNITE HERE Local 11 Co-President had this to say about the campaign: “LaShe has spent her career in public service and has shown her commitment towards ensuring that the children of Orange County have the tools to succeed in the modern economy. I am proud to give her my endorsement”
